Pork Decision Support Tools: ePiggery & PrimePulse & Smart Data

PrimePulse and ePiggery are two decision support programs that couple together to monitor production performance (PrimePulse) and optimise business performance (ePiggery).  They link together so that the financial impact of deviating from optimal performance targets can be expressed in financial terms.  As both these programs link to live data acquisition, they may be automated to provide real time financial signals to management.

Data is sourced from any data capture device supporting data export facilities eg weather stations, weighing equipment or herd recording programs.

As such they value add on existing infrastructure to transform those investments from cost centres to profit generators.  Infrastructure definitely costs money to invest in, but comes with no guarantee to provide adequate return on investment.  PrimePulse & ePiggery provide the commercial means to evaluate infrastructure investment and develop best practices to assure returns on investment.  Both products utilise cutting edge technologies (statistical process control and evolutionary algorithms) professionally packaged into a quality management system.

These products are used both directly and indirectly in Australia via on site installation or centralised analysis services (SmartData).  Both routes to clients involve technical support from their preferred service providers (private consultants, veterinarians, agribusiness etc).
